Microbial Fermentation & Protein Purification Pilot Plant

PROJECT DESCRIPTION
Construction of a new cGMP flexible clinical process suite to support early clinical manufacturing of novel process technologies. This 1,000 SF suite will be developed within Metagenomi’s existing building in Emeryville, CA.

CLEANROOM DETAILS
The project scope includes the modular cleanroom system including 2” aluminum honeycomb-core wall panels, a gordon grid ceiling, Kingspan plenum, windows, doors, coving, and trims.

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS

• The cGMP clinical suite will be able to support nuclease(s), mRNA-LNP, AAV, and Cell Therapy.
• Three core gene therapy manufacturing suites along with two shared drug product filling unit operations.
• Manufacturing support functions including personnel/material airlocks, material prep area, locker rooms, cell and material storage with cold storage.
• Quality Control laboratories (6C) including separate areas for bioassay, PCR, vector, and Microbiology.
