CleanSpace Expands National Footprint with Opening of Ferndale, Michigan Office—Strengthening Post-Construction Services and Lifecycle Support

CleanSpace is pleased to announce the opening of our newest office and client showroom in Ferndale, Michigan. This location will serve as the national headquarters for CleanShield, our dedicated post-construction service division, and will play a key role in enhancing our ability to support clients across the full facility lifecycle—from design and construction through operational readiness and commercialization.

CleanSpace is a vertically integrated design-build partner to the life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotech, and high-tech manufacturing sectors. We provide fully self-performed solutions including architecture, engineering, proprietary product manufacturing, construction, commissioning, and now—through CleanShield—ongoing compliance, service, and technical support. This level of control across all project phases allows us to reduce risk, accelerate timelines, and ensure alignment with each client’s commercialization goals.

CleanShield was launched in response to a fundamental gap in the market: most providers exit when construction ends. We remain engaged. CleanShield delivers services essential to bringing facilities online, including Commissioning, Qualification, and Validation (CQV), SOP and documentation development, GMP auditing and training, facility retrofit programs, emergency response, and lifecycle maintenance—all designed to ensure sustained compliance and operational efficiency in regulated environments.

The Ferndale office enhances our ability to respond quickly and locally to clients in Michigan and the broader Midwest region, while also serving as a hub for national service operations. The integrated showroom will allow facility managers, quality teams, and operations executives to interact directly with CleanSpace systems, participate in technical workshops, and collaborate on proactive strategies to optimize performance post-construction.

This expansion reinforces a core tenet of our model: CleanSpace is not a vendor—we are a partner to commercialization. Our role does not end at turnover. It extends through the challenges of validation, staffing, inspections, and operational ramp-up, where the consequences of poor handoff or fragmented responsibility are most severe.
