CleanSpace Appoints Michael W. as Vice President of CleanShield Division to Drive Growth and Operational Execution

Doylestown, PA – [April 2025] — CleanSpace the industry leader in vertically integrated cleanroom solutions, proudly announces the appointment of Mike Wieffering as Vice President of CleanShield, the company's rapidly expanding service and operational support division. With over four decades of mechanical and construction expertise—including more than $500 million in successfully delivered pharmaceutical and mission-critical projects—Wieffering brings a proven track record of execution, leadership, and technical depth to CleanShield’s national rollout.

CleanShield, a CleanSpace division, was created to extend the company’s unmatched cleanroom design-build capabilities into post-construction operational support. The division provides maintenance, emergency response, minor construction, CQV execution, technical documentation, and workforce development for the life sciences and high-tech manufacturing sectors.

Wieffering previously served in senior leadership roles at Johnson Controls for 41 years, managing complex design-build and mechanical projects across the pharmaceutical, healthcare, industrial, and public sectors. His expertise spans HVAC, process systems, facility infrastructure, and validation-critical environments. Most recently, he served as Construction Manager for Endo Pharmaceuticals’ sterile fill-finish facility buildouts and expansions, overseeing projects from aseptic lines to cold storage and warehousing.

Wieffering joins a growing executive team focused on redefining how turnkey delivery is executed across the cleanroom and life science market.
