Derick Edwards, with over 40 years of experience in the design-build, defense, automotive manufacturing industries, and government consultancy, currently serves as the Vice President of Quality at CleanSpace LLC. His journey in the industry, marked by increasing responsibilities, underscores his commitment to continuous improvements in quality management and safety.

At CleanSpace LLC since 2020, Derick has been pivotal in overseeing the company’s quality and safety policies. He ensures that project sites strictly adhere to OSHA and other regulatory standards, emphasizing the importance of workplace safety. His approach to management focuses on working smart and efficiently, fostering balance and harmony within teams, and advocating for mutual support across the organization.

Derick’s prior role as Director of Quality, Process Improvement, and Safety at AES Clean Technology from 2005 to 2020 provided him with a solid foundation in managing quality control and safety protocols in highly regulated environments. His tenure there was marked by significant contributions to enhancing safety standards and process improvements.

Educated at Temple University with a BS in Information Technology, Derick’s academic background complements his extensive experience in quality and safety management. He is particularly focused on supporting and advancing safety and quality management thinking within the company.

His initiatives often involve collaborating with Field Installation and Construction Teams to reduce and prevent accidents, ensuring that safety is not just a policy but a culture where every team member goes home safely at the end of the day.
